ABC Family's TV lineup for fall 2014 includes the return of three favorite shows: "Pretty Little Liars," "Melissa & Joey," and "Baby Daddy;" and a new series debut-"Freak Out". As per report of Sitcoms Online, ABC Family's original series will be taking September off as most networks and cable shows release their summer finales or show premieres that week. However, viewers are in for a treat from October 19-31 as the '13 Nights of Halloween' beginning with a special Halloween episode of "Pretty Little Liars" titled 'We Love You to Death' set to air Tuesday, October 21 at 8p.m. It will then be followed by the series premiere of "Freak Out," with a back-to-back episode.
According to ABC Family press release, each "Freak Out" episodes "will feature an unsuspecting mark, whose fears come to life before their eyes with elaborate special effects, intricate makeup, twisted actors, and multiple cameras capturing the scenario from every angle. Every frighteningly hilarious prank is deviously tailored with help from the victim's friends and family to turn an everyday situation into someone's scary moment, until they realize they've been pranked." The new hidden camera, scary prank show series will air 14 episodes but no news if it will continue to air in November.
Wednesday, October 22, will be the return of two of ABC Family's popular comedies, "Melisa & Joey" at 8p.m. with first episode titled 'Witch Came First;' Followed by 'Strip or Treat' episode of "Baby Daddy" at 8:30p.m. Both will premiere with special Halloween episodes.
ABC Family's '13 Nights of Halloween' would also include movie specials which have "Dark Shadows" and "ParaNorman" in its lineup.
Enstarz also added that ABC Family's "Chasing Life," "The Fosters," and "Switched at Birth" will not return until 2015 though official premiere dates are yet to be released.
