Nexus 6, 8 Release date slated for Halloween? Android L no formal name yet ahead of October 16 introduction

International Business Times reported that by next month, Google would be starting its introduction of three of its latest products to the tech market. Signs of Google debuting the products real soon was courtesy of a Twitter shoutout by Android-focused developer Paul O'Brien, who wrote on his account on September 18 that it will be unveiling its 8.9-inch tablet to the public on the said date. O'Brien's tweet affirmed earlier rumors that the Nexus 8 would be coming out of the box the same way as the HTC Nexus 9 was debuted.

He said, "Same source: Announcement rather than launch of the HTC Nexus 9 on 16th October. 8.9" (of course!)."

O'Brien had left out specifics as to when the new Android operating system and the purely Android-run tabloid would be coming out. Nonetheless, IBTimes said one could only take one look at Google's history with their product debuts to determine that a simultaneous rollout will be done for all three products.

As for the product specs, it has been believed that the Nexus 8 would be manufactured by HTC and would support either 2048x1440 pixels or 2560x1440 pixels, The Fuse Joplin wrote. Moreover, the said device is said to be equipped with a powerful NVIDIA Tegra K1 (64 bits) with 4GB of RAM. As for the Nexus 6, the device is expected to come with a 5.2 inch QHD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with 3GB of RAM. Gotta Be Mobile said that there has been little to be known about the Android L, but IBTimes said that the introduction of the mobile OS beginning next month will be as an improved replacement to the already efficient KitKat. Citing a Washington Post article, The Fuse Joplin said the Android L, which has long been anointed with names ranging from Lemon Meringue Pie and Android Lemon, is expected to have an automatic data encryption similar to what Apple's iOS 8 is offering. Moreover, rumors suggested that the OS will come with the ART or Android Runtime, which is a compiler that can process applications much faster, among other things.
