EXO's lead singer Do Kyung-Soo, more commonly known as D.O, will be having his big screen debut via movie "Cart." The idol recently shared his experience transitioning from a member of the highly successful K-Pop group EXO to an actor.

"Cart," where D.O is playing Choi Tae Yeong, is set to showcase in several film festivals including Busan International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and Hawaii International Film Festival.

An article by SBS quoted the actor opening up about his movie debut.

"I was nervous because they're veteran sunbaenims (respected seniors), but they all cheered me on so I learned a lot while filming... Yeom Jung Ah sunbaenim, especially, treated me comfortably like my real mother so I was able to loosen up."

In an interview with Newsen D.O's co-star Jiwoo shared about acting as the singer's love interest. "When I first saw D.O-oppa, it was really strange. I thought, 'EXO is here!'", shared Jiwoo. "My friends are EXO fans too," she continued.

The actress also commended D.O for his acting saying D.O has a good tone and enunciation "because he is good at singing."

"I think he has a lot of ambition when it comes to acting. It's his first time acting, so he shouldn't have much technique, but he's good. Whilst monitoring himself, he gets a bit disappointed and embarrassed, so when I saw that, I thought, 'He could really become an actor,'" added Jiwoo.

"Cart" director Boo Ji Young also has nothing but praises for the actor. In a report by KDramaStarz, the director said, "There are many idols who act, but we were looking for someone different. Do Kyung Soo doesn't have the experience, but he's gave us something to look forward to, and he follows direction well."

D.O has already made his debut on television through the recently concluded drama series "It's Okay, It's Love," where he showed his acting skills alongside main stars Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin.

The movie is about a single mother, Yeon Hee's (Yeom Jung Ah) struggles after she was laid off in a supermarket. It will chronicle how the fired employees will stand up, fight for their rights against the company and its exploitive practices.

"Cart" is scheduled to premiere in Korea this November.
