Ryan Gosling and girlfriend Eva Mendes finally welcomed their first baby. In a report by The Mirror, the couple is calling their daughter "Preciosa," a Spanish nickname meaning "precious."

While their first child's nickname has been revealed, the two, who is known for keeping their relationship private, have not revealed their daughter's real name. Names "Donna" and "Coral" are rumored to be the child's name. Gosling's mother's name is Donna, while Mendes' mother's maiden name is Corales, according to Enstarz.

Enstarz also mentioned that the baby girl looks much like her mother.

The new parents who have been together for quite a long time are reportedly happy about the new member of their family.

According to a source from People Magazine, Mendes is thrilled to finally be a mother. "She's absolutely in heaven being a mom. She's never been happier," the source told the magazine.

The source also revealed that the two are "just in awe of this beautiful person they created."

The "Place Beyond the Pines" co-stars started dating in 2011 but has since kept silent about their relationship.

Taking a new role as a father, Gosling is reportedly taking a break from acting, The Mirror adds. "His family is now his number one priority. He's accomplished everything work-wise that he had hoped and this is the next step in his life," an insider told the website.

Meanwhile, the Hollywood actor's family has been very supportive of Ryan's child. His mother Donna and older sister Mandi reportedly gave him a box of supplies including diapers and cuddly toys.

Moreover, the couple reportedly hired a full-time baby nurse. A source told Us Weekly, that "The nurse is helping out around the clock."

News about Mendes' pregnancy started to circulate after the actress refused to pass through the body scanner at the Los Angeles International Airport, IBTimes reports.
