'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' NeNe Leakes will have something to be busy with when 'Fashion Police' 'returns. That's right. Currently, she's the front running choice for the show. After Joan River's death, which became a major setback, the program is set to chart new borders as it plans on embracing ethnic diversity as well. With her ability to throw witty remarks, sometimes harsh, this RHOA top dog becomes the strongest candidate for the show, Music Times reported.
Reportedly, NeNe would fill the chair left Joan, 81, who died following complications of her throat surgery.
Fashion Police is slated to have its comeback by next year. Melissa Rivers, the executive producer of the show, believes that her late mother would not have desired anything else than for the show to continue running despite the fact that not everyone favors its return. In a matter of few months, FP will start to air, just in time for coverage of 'The Golden Globes.'
In addition to her being used to in front of the camera, Leakes undeniably has her own statement in the Fashion world which many recognize. When she launched a clothing line for HSN, well, it was sold out in a snap. That probably says it all.
Kathy Griffin is probably the only threat to her sitting with the panel. Aside from the fact that she knows how to speak her mind, she is also Joan's friend, and this means that she could be a sentimental choice for the producers, reported Music Times.
Daily Mail reported: Nene hinted that she may walk out of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta's' door:
"I'm happy to do some things," she told Rob Shuter of VH1's The Gossip Table. "I don't know if I'm happy to be a full-time Housewife. I will still work for Bravo. We just need to work out some things."
'I'm in a different place in my life. I personally don't want to go to work every day where you have to be negative. When I wake up every morning and I go off to be negative it just feels like it spills over into my regular life. You become what you work,' she further said.
Other names were also mentioned for the most coveted seat of Fashion Police such as Tyra Banks, Amy Schumer and Lisa Lampanelli.
