The anticipated film version of famed book, "50 Shades of Grey" by author E. L. James has been met with controversy, even more so with the release of its trailer. Anastasia Steele played by Dakota Johnson is believed to have suffered the scrutiny of her father, Don Johnson as he was quoted saying, "it's just not the kind of movie I would see," this comes as news from Express as the "Miami Vice" veteran is said to boycott his daughter's first feature film.
But needless to say, Dakota is still lucky that her mother, Melanie Griffith has full support for her decision of joining the film adaptation. The Himalayan Times reports that Griffith understands that this role has been a difficult task for her daughter to fulfill and that the full support of the family is what Dakota needs.
Griffith has also been very upset that aside from her former husband, her mother Tippi Hedren has also expressed disapproval of Dakota's movie debut, saying that her daughter cannot be with a career where she is always being worried about what her father and grandmother would think each time she chooses a role.
Meanwhile, it is believed that Griffith has expressed her sentiments to both her mother and ex-husband about the future of their relationship with Dakota. According to Enstarz, a source relates what Melanie thought of the whole disapproval to Dakota's new movie role, saying, "she's told them both that they could ruin their relationships with her."
An interview with Dakota reveals that she has admitted that she does not want her parents to see her movie especially since she too would not want to watch any of her parent's projects where they would need to be naked. We now wait to see just how much of a challenge it was for Dakota as "50 Shades of Grey" comes out on February 2015.
