It has been confirmed that Jessica Jung will no longer be a part of Girls' Generation, but could it be because she is engaged with boyfriend Tyler Kwon and planning a wedding?
Jung's exit from the K-Pop band surprised everyone and first sparked rumors that her account may have been hacked when she posted about not being a member of the K-Pop band anymore. However, SM Management soon confirmed the news, stating that the 25-year-old Jung has started her own fashion-related business despite ongoing negotiations about priorities. Also according to the statement, which was published by All KPop, "In the midst of while working out when to announce this, Jessica had posted her words early this morning."
Despite parting ways with GG, Jung remains under contract to SM Entertainment. The statement read: "From here on, our agency will continue to support and manage the 8-member Girls' Generation and Jessica's individual activities."
Amid the surprising news that Jung will no longer be a part of Girls' Generation, a new rumor presented itself. Apparently, Jung's "priorities and interest" may have been related to something else other than her fashion brand, Blanc. According to Hollywood Take, Jung's rumored relationship with Kwon has been dragged into the issue along with a possible wedding next year.
However, Yahoo Entertainment says that Kwon has denied rumors of an engagement with Jung back in September 12. Kwon apparently took to Weibo to say that the rumors were not true. Rumors of Jung and Kwon's engagement circulated after Kwon posted photos of a wedding. Despite the caption mentioning that he was the best man in the wedding, many thought Kwon had already planned a wedding.
According to Yahoo Entertainment, Kwon and Jung were rumored to have started dating back in March, but some sources allegedly say that they had been together since 2013.
Whether or not in a span of two weeks Kwon had proposed to Jung and the two are indeed planning a wedding remains to be seen.
