K-pop girl group Girls' Generation is once again a hot topic on the net. But this time, it's not because of a new album or a hit music video on YouTube; it's because of the recent news that member Jessica Jung has been kicked out of the group.

The news left everybody in shock, not just the K-pop industry but also the millions of fans around the world. Jessica's controversial Weibo post announcing she was "forced out" of the group followed by SM Entertainment's statement confirming that GG will continue as an eight-member group was followed by overwhelming mixed response from the online community.

SONEs, the girl group's official fan base took to social media to express their support to the group. At one point after SM's statement was released, #StayStrongSNSD was a trending topic in Twitter.

During a performance at group's fan meeting in Shenzhen, China, the members left Jessica's part in the song "The Boys" unsung. While on stage, some of the members, including Tiffany and Seohyun were even filmed crying.

Meanwhile, members of the K-pop fan community have mixed reactions, AllKPop reports. Some international fans accused the group of betraying Jessica, while Korean fans are saying it was Jessica's fault because she became selfish about her new business.

However, majority of the outrage is thrown towards SM Entertainment, with fans mentioning previous controversies involving the talent agency, including lawsuits filed by JYJ, Hangeng of Super Junior, Kris of EXO, as well as the recent hiatus of Sulli in the midst of f(x)'s promotions.

Meanwhile, Jessica and her sister Krystal, who is a member of SM's f(x), are actually preparing to debut as a new unit group, Daily K-pop News reports. The news came from program officials of cable channel OnStyle who also revealed that after shooting the supposed unit's music video, they "plan to film the second season of the reality program "Jessica and Krystal." All songs for the planned album were reportedly recorded already.

However, with the recent turn of events, these projects might not be pushed through.

On other reports, Jessica's rumored boyfriend Tyler Kwon reveals he has no plans of marriage, AllKpop reports. On his Weibo post, he wrote, "I have no plans of marriage anytime soon, whether it be this year...next year...if that wasn't clear enough."

What caught the attention of the online community is his post saying a message to Jessica. "@Sy_Jessica Hey, hang in there! The truth about what really happened will be known - we all got your back!" his post reads.
