When it comes to earnings, Hollywood actresses still make less money compared to their male counterparts. For the period covered in this list, the top 10 Hollywood actors ranked in a combined $419 million as compared to only $226 million for the women.
Thanks to her movie "Gravity," Sandra Bullock emerged as 2014's highest paid actress. She only ranked 7th in last year's list topped by Angelina Jolie, who in turn drops to fifth this year tied with Cameron Diaz. Absent from this year's list are Kirsten Stewart and Emma Stone.
To come up with its list, Forbes talked with agents, producers, lawyers, and others knowledgeable in the field. The earnings estimates in the 2014 list include entertainment-related income for the period June 2013 to June 2014.
