2NE1’s ‘I Am the Best’ MV reaches 100 million hits on YouTube after the song hitting #1 at Billboard’s ‘World Digital Songs’ chart

Female K-Pop group 2NE1 has once again proved that they are not only popular in their country but also in the international scene.

The group's music video for "I Am the Best" has reached 100 million views on YouTube. The iconic music video was uploaded on June 27th, 2011 on 2NE1's official YouTube channel.

Comprised of CL, Dara, Minzy, and Bom, the group took three years to earn an overwhelming number of hits. This marks not only 2NE1's first music video to reach a hundred million views but also K-Pop's eighth music video to hit such milestone, according to Koreaboo.

The phenomenal music video featured the girls with their fierce dance moves and their eccentric fashion, which the group is widely known for.

"I Am the Best" was produced by YG Family's Teddy Park. The MV of the song was directed by Seo HyunSeung, the same director of other hit music videos of 2NE1 including "Fire," "Try To Follow Me," and "Can't Nobody."

Koreaboo describes the song as "one of 2NE1's most defining songs." The highly energetic song is a staple in the group's concert and has grown to be the fan's most favorite. The song won "Song Of The Year" award at during the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2011.

The song was also recognized in the international scene and was heard on American radio. It was featured in an advertisement for Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 and on "So You Think You Can Dance."

Recently, the song ranked at #1 on Billboard's "World Digital Songs" chart for this week, AllKpop reports. According to the website, the song's success is linked to Microsoft Surface Pro commercial that featured it. The ad has been running for a few weeks already.

"I Am the Best" skyrocketed to the fourth spot in the previous week, but it reached the top spot this week.
