We've known for quite a while that "Teen Mom 2" would be returning for a fifth season. US Weekly first reported the news back in August, that the series was renewed by MTV and that it would star Catelynn Lowell, Maci Bookout and Amber Portwood... and not Farrah Abraham.
Now, we know a little bit more of why Abraham isn't returning to the show. According to KpopStarz, MTV first claimed that Abraham left of her own accord, and that MTV "willingly cut Farrah out of negotiations." Now, we know that's not the case.
Abraham was fired- and because of her new commitment to porn that she's made since starting "Teen Mom 2." Wetpaint adds that Abraham had made sex tapes, worked as a stripper and was coming out with her own line of sex toys, and that this doesn't necessarily gel with the more family-friendly (ish) image coming from "Teen Mom 2." So Abraham had to go.
At a recet "Teen Mom 2" special called "Ask the Moms," Maci Bookout talked a little more about Abraham's firing.
"After we stopped filming Teen Mom, we all went in our own directions - kind of started our lives without cameras - and Farrah made some choices that didn't really match with what the show was about."
Later, the reality star added the following- "If one of us is not making decisions that goes with our message, then it kind of takes away from what we're trying to do in the first place," she continued. "So, it wasn't our choice to not have her on the show with us, but we wish her the best."
But Abraham doesn't seem to care. She recently sent out a series of tweets saying she was "Over Teen Mom" and that she was "Glad [she] moved on."
And as long as she can make a living with porn, she'll probably continue to think that way.
