Reality stars tend to cling to social media like spider monkeys, but oddly enough, a few of the "19 Kids and Counting" stars have suddenly dropped away from social media.
Jill and Jessa Duggar, two of the many, many children from the TLC reality show, have gone oddly silent on Instagram. The news was first reported by Enstars, who report that Jill has not posted on Instagram in about two weeks, while Jessa has been absent from Facebook for the past week. As well, the Duggar family Instagram account hasn't posted anything new since September.
This has led to the belief that TLC is now censoring the Duggars, for their hardilne conservative Christian views. Before this, the family was extremely active in sharing their religion and their politics over social media- Enstars reports that Jessa recently posted a long screed comparing the victims of the Holocaust to the pro-life movement, as well as those who don't believe in Christianity.
Her post can be read in its entirety below:
"I walked through the Holocaust Museum again today... very sobering. Millions of innocents denied the most basic and fundamental of all rights--their right to life. One human destroying the life of another deemed 'less than human.' Racism, stemming from the evolutionary idea that man came from something less than human; that some people groups are 'more evolved' and others 'less evolved.' A denying that our Creator--GOD--made us human from the beginning, all of ONE BLOOD and ONE RACE, descendants of Adam."
As well, one of Jessa's last posts (seen on Instagram) before this odd period of silence was an angry rant against athiests, which can also be read below.
"Atheism - the belief that there was nothing and nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason, creating everything and then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason what so ever into self-replicating bits which then turned into dinosaurs. Makes perfect sense."
If the rumors of censorship are true, this wouldn't be the first time TLC has tried to curb the more extreme viewpoints of the Duggars. A few days ago, The Daily Signal discovered that a pro-life T-shirt worn by one Duggar was censored on the show.
