'The Voice' list of coaches were announced earlier this week stating Christina Aguilera's comeback will be kicking rookie Gwen Stefani. What's the latest news on the hit NBC singing competition? Is this the last for the No Doubt vocalist?
The 41-year old 'Girl' artist, Pharrell Williams, and 45-year old No Doubt lead vocalist, Gwen Stefani, are creating noise on the latest season of The Voice; and it seems that veterans Adam Levine and Blake Shelton must be thinking of these newcomers to be doing well especially on the on-going Battle Rounds.
However, Stefani's single-season entrance will be ending soon as the official Twitter account of the hit NBC show confirms the Season 8 coaches. The tweet reads, "OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Say HELLO to your Season 8 coaches! @adamlevine @Pharrell @xtina @blakeshelton #TheVoice"
Aguilera is not new to the show, as she had been coaching since the first three seasons and the fifth, but replaced by songstress Shakira on the Season 4 and 6.
Meanwhile, an insider revealed on Hollywood Life that this announcement is one of the mind games NBC is pumping and Stefani will still be part of the future seasons. "Everyone knew she was coming back once she left," the insider begins. "It was always the plan."
"For Gwen to do The Voice is a relaunching pad for things she wants to do in her career. She is going to work more on fashion, music and other things, now that she has a fresh coat of paint on her from the exposure of The Voice," the report continues.
"But one thing for sure is she will be back on The Voice in the future. 100%. They all love her there."
Same with Xtina and Shakira, Gwen's comeback will always be possible. Meantime, Season 8's official coaches are Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
