Prince William Kate second baby due in April! Royal couple reacts to twins rumors

By

After a period of silence from Clarence House, the official royal residence of Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, has announced that the couple is expecting the arrival of their second child in April next year. The couple are already parents to Prince George.

The announcement, which was published on Twitter, read, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their baby in April 2015. Read the announcement on TRH's website..."

The tweet included a link to an official press release also about Kate's health status, which has been on constant watch by the media because of her frequent absences in public engagements as of late. The statement explained, "The Duchess of Cambridge continues to be affected by Hyperemisis Gravidarum, but her condition is steadily improving."

Buzzfeed said that the condition the Duchess is suffering is as normal as 2% of pregnant women. However, the palace's latest message seem to indicate that Kate is managing well, and is scheduled to meet The President of the Republic of Singapore and Mrs Tony Tan Keng Yam on behalf of The Queen and will also grace the Wildlife Photographer of The Year 2014 Awards Ceremony at the Natural History Museum on October 21st.

On the other hand, media were fast to catch on the choice of words used by the palace in announcing the second baby's arrival. Although the Clarence House did not reveal the new baby's gender, it somewhat confirmed that Kate is not expecting twins.

Rebecca English for the Daily Mail tweeted, "So no twins then. Just the one baby (unless everyone gets a very unexpected surprise) #kate #royalbaby."

Good Morning America said that the baby will be fourth in line to the British throne. The child is succeeded by grandfather Prince Charles, the baby's father, and big brother. The second baby is coined in colloquial royal terms as "an heir and a spare." Incidentally, the baby's position for the throne could be equated to Harry's, if William had remained childless
