The 2014-15 NBA General Manager survey has just been released with almost half (46.2%) saying that the San Antonio Spurs will repeat as NBA Champions. The star studded Cleveland Cavaliers with LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love had 15.4% while the Chicago Bulls had 11.5%. The GM's also believe that the the Spurs and James will have another finals match up per NBA.com:
The league's general managers believe that we're going to see James vs. the San Antonio Spurs in The Finals for the third straight June and the fourth time in eight years. But the championship picture is also relatively wide open, as six different teams were picked to win The Finals and a seventh was picked to get there.
James though, was the favorite to win the Most Valuable Player award for the coming season, chosen by 67.9 percent of respondents to win the award for the fifth time in his return to Cleveland. The reigning MVP, Kevin Durant, who is expected to be out for at least six weeks after suffering a Jones fracture in his right foot this offseason, finished second garnering 21.4%.
The Spurs dominated LeBron James and the Miami Heat last year in the 2014 NBA Playoffs in five games games (4-1). It was a lopsided series with the Spurs outscoring the Heat by the the biggest average point differential (14.0) in Finals history. Kawhi Leonard became the third youngest finals MVP in the history of the NBA at the age of 22.
This time, James has a chance to redeem himself against San Antonio with a newly rebuild Cavaliers roster. The odds are certainly in the favor of the Spurs who look to win back-to-back NBA Titles for the first time in franchise history.
If the Spurs meet the LeBron and the Cavs in the finals who do you think will win?
