"Party Down South" season 2 featuring new cast will be on air on November 20, while the original cast will be welcomed back in season 3, airing February 2015, but with minimal interactions.
According to Zap2It, CMT has published a press release detailing the cast of the second season of "Party Down South," which will premiere on November 20. The show will be featuring eight Southerners "ready for a wild summer in Biloxi, Miss."
CMT's statement details that the second season will have 12 one-hour episodes showing the eight new faces as they deal with "mud pits, hook-ups, hangovers, and a whole lot of drama to get to know each other, party together and form close-knit relationships that will last even after the final keg has been kicked."
According to Entertainment Weekly, "Party Down South 2" is CMT's way of expanding the franchise by introducing new Southerners even while the original cast is still slated for a return in 2015. The show, which is created by SallyAnn Salsano, the same person behind "Jersey Shore," is said to be the highest-rated show on the network. The original "Party Down South" allegedly raked in an average of 930,000 viewers with DVR playbacks included.
The cast will be comprised of "ladies man" Bradley, "proud Kentucky Wildcat" Hunter, country boy Michael "Duke," firefighter and gym-goer Tommy, wild preacher's daughter Ashton, tea lover Karynda, wild child Magan, and attention seeker Raven. Bradley is from Brandon, Hunter is from Lexington, Michael is from Statesboro, Tommy is from Blytheville, Ashton is from Pensacola, Karynda is from Jacksonville, Magan is from Wiggins, and Raven is from Folsom. Tommy, 22, is the youngest of the bunch, with Brandon and Karynda being the oldest at 26.
Meanwhile, Lyle, Daddy, Murray, Walt, Mattie, Lauren, and Tiffany will be in the third season of "Party Down South" to be seen in February next year. Unfortunately, Entertainment Weekly confirms that Lil Bit will not be returning for season 3 after quitting the show in the summer. However, it seems that the cast has filmed separately, so interactions among them may not be expected.
