The K-pop fan community is very much looking forward for the upcoming debut of YG Entertainment's first girl group since the globally popular 2NE1. However, Blackjacks (official fans club of 2NE1) are worried that the new group's debut might be a threat to the already popular senor idol band, KpopStars reports.

YG Entertainment recently confirmed that the will be launching a new female group either next month or sometime before the year ends. The news brought excitement to YG artists' fans while other 2NE1 fans believe this could affect the activities of their favorite group.

Some fans are quick to link this to recent rumors that the group will be soon disbanding following announcement that CL will have a solo debut in the U.S.

2NE1 member Minzy changed her Instagram handlefrom "MINZY21MZ" to "_minzy_mz," removing "21" that stands for their group's name. The member immediately included 2NE1 on her Twitter handle and Instagram caption after she received messages from fans begging her not to leave the group. YG claimed it was just a coincidence.

Some fans took to Twitter to express their opinion on the debut of the new YG group, "I am personally not looking forward to YG's new girl group," wrote user YGPeasant. "I don't have enough promotions from 2NE1 yet."

Others even assume that this is a move by the record label to replace the "I am the Best" singers.

"YG is releasing a new girl group to replace 2NE1 just like WINNER is to replace Big Bang," said Brittany Lajoyce. "It's only natural. Nothing lasts forever."

Meanwhile, Big Bang's G-Dragon helped in the music production of the label's upcoming artists, Daily Kpop News reports.

The idol reportedly produced two songs in the group's debut album. YG's lead producer Teddy is also reported to have worked with them.

The website also reported that only two members of the still unnamed group have been revealed. They are Kim Ji Soo who appeared in Epik High's "Spoiler + Happy Ending" MV and Jenny Kim who was featured in G-Dragon's "That XX" music video.

Meanwhile, Soompi reported that another supposed member, Kim Eunbi has been confirmed to leave the group and the company because of health reasons.
