South Korean idol-turned-fashion designer Jessica Jung has always been on the center of controversy. This is not only because of her recent departure from SM Entertainment's titan girl group Girls' Generation, but also because of rumors suggesting he is getting married with rumored boyfriend Tyler Kwon.
The former SNSD member reportedly addressed the rumors recently, Allkpop reports. According to the website, Jessica talked about the issue through an interview with Chinese media outlets. Domestic media outlet TVDaily recently wrote that she spoke about it while attending the "2014 Mission Hills World Celebrity Pro-Am" on October 23.
When the Chinese press asked her to state her position on the marriage rumors, Jessica reportedly commented, "It's not true. I don't have plans of marriage as of right now... However, like how all women dream of marriage, I think I will also marry someday."
Jessica also talked about her new career as a fashion designer for her own fashion line BLANC & ECLARE. "I'm very excited about a new beginning. I hope everyone feels this way as well."
Tyler Kwon, who was described by KpopStarz as a financial and entertainment bigwig, previously denied the rumors. He posted a message on Weibo, saying "I have no plans of marriage anytime soon, whether it be this year...next year...if that wasn't clear enough."
Meanwhile, two weeks ago, Kwon addressed rumors that Jessica's business was having problems in attracting investors.
Jessica's rumored boyfriend released a press release via the fashion line's official website. He stated that Jessica's company is privately owned and it has no plans on seeking outside investors. The statement also claimed that the company has no debts.
Part of the statement reads:
"Blanc & Eclare is a privately owned company. Founder Jessica Jung took the helm as Head Designer and sought support from Coridel Capital Partners, the only other party providing investment capital to the Company, to support the Founder's goals and ambitions. To date, the Company and its Board of Directors have not approached any other outside equity investors and there are no plans for the debt-free Company to do so in the near future. We have tremendous confidence and remain fully committed to the Blanc & Eclare team that continues to be focused on and executing its global strategic vision."
Kwon is the CEO and chairman of Coridel Group, which includes Coridel Capital Partners.
