'Witches of East End' Season 3's renewal is still plausible considering the show's regressive ratings. Moreover, the show's cancellation may not be conclusive as the cliffhanger finale left many fans wondering of what's going to happen next.
On the network's side, Lifetime has not announced a renewal for Season 3 yet. It is, most likely, that the network is considering the fact that the show is not boosting in terms of ratings as the demography reveals that the final season had garnered 0.5 rating in 18-49 demographic. All were based on the 1.13 million of total viewers, which is a far cry lesser than 1.67 million from its first season.
The cliffhanger has revealed the sudden death of Aunt Wendy and Freddie. Killian, however, was thought to have died but his love interest, Freya, kissed him and a surprising power brought him back to life.
Prior to Killian's reincarnation, after King Nicholas -- who uses Tommy's body -- fought with Joanna, Freya, Ingrid and Wendy, the royal evidently lost after being too weakened by the witches' combined sorcery. He left Tommy's corpse, and that led to Aunt Wendy's abrupt rescue and she tried to kiss him, but nothing happened.
Those scenes, however, led to the possibilities that Tommy and King Nicholas might not be really dead. We have seen so many corpses brought back to life in the series, and death is not really an option for the story arc. Meanwhile, something craves more continuation than these -- the Frillian love story.
Before show ended, Dash came up with Killian's mind-boggling confrontation scene.
With all these questions raised, there are still hopes for the network to renew that show and that fans should keep on looking forward that every cloud has a silver lining.
As of today, Lifetime has not stated either a cancellation or renewal of the third season of 'Witches of East End'. Do you want to see more of Frillian love story? Share your thoughts below.
