In line with Halloween the new Episode 5 of "Criminal Minds" entitled "Boxed In" has the FBI team solving a case that involves a kidnapped boy in California who is suspected to have been locked up in a box. According to Latin Post the BAU is left with only a limited amount of time to find the boy and rescue him from a traumatizing claustrophobic situation.
The episode is said to be directed by "Criminal Minds" actor Thomas Gibson (who plays Hotchner) who will have his own son, while Jake McCauley will play one of the characters for the said episode. Apparently the Halloween special also delves into the plot of boys being taken and kidnapped during their trick or treating.
News from Fashion and Style relays the episode synopsis that says: "When a young boy who went missing in San Diego on Halloween suddenly reappears one year later, the BAU must work fast when another trick-or-treater disappears under similar circumstances."
Aside from this double role for Gibson, it seems that his character Hotch, is also in for a bit of a challenge as he and Beth (played by Bellamy Young) will prove to be experiencing a long distance relationship since Young is reportedly needed back in her other hit TV show "Scandal".
As the season progresses, each episode seems that the UnSubs are getting more and more spine-chilling as the previous episode had the team dealing with an Atlanta case where victims were abducted and tortured through being covered with insects.
A report from KPopStarz relays that the BAU team was able to get to the victim in time as she was being tortured and convincing the unsub that what he had imagined to be bugs were only in his imagination, showing him a mirror to prove their point.
