"The Winds of Winter" may carry the most invigorating story arc as the upcoming novel will include the largest battle in the history of 'A Song of Ice and Fire'. Several predictions have surfaced after George R.R. Martin spilled some hints of the sequel. These are what we know so far:
On the official forum, Westeros.org, fans have brought up Martin's statement on EW saying, "I think we're gonna start out with a big smash with the two enormous battles." Consequently, it is considerably theoretical to have this exposed Ramsay and Stannis' clans battling it out. On the prediction build up, the urge of Stannis Baratheon to claim the Iron Throne will always be present and the wars would not be abolished as long as Theon exists.
Another statement from Martin which left fans digging into what could be possible was, "We have more deaths, and we have more betrayals. We have more marriages."
On the history and story line of this highly anticipated novel, planned weddings will always be injected to create an enormous chaos, as far as Martin's countless twists of elements are concerned.
Despite the son of Prince Rhaegar's expected proposal, fans suggest that the grandest wedding would expose Arianne and Aegon Targaryen. Sansa Stark and Harry the Heir, meanwhile, would most likely be committed on the planned marriage.
Another speculation tells Cersei Lannister's decision to embrace the chance of one of her family members to be part of Stannis'. Will another set of wedding bells harmonize? Speaking of the Lannisters, do you think Jaime and Brienne of Tarth would be married too?
Meanwhile, George R.R. Martin confessed that he needs to push himself on writing faster as many expect the release would be before June 2015. "So I need to write faster. The last two books took a really long time, so I'm hoping this one [the Winds of Winter] will go a little faster."
"The Winds of Winter" release date is yet a mere speculation, which hypothesizes George R.R. Martin would finish it between 2015-2017. What are your thoughts on who will get married on the upcoming installment of "A Song of Ice and Fire"?
