The newly retooled Cleveland Cavaliers and a more focused New York Knicks squad will face off in October 30 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The battle of two of the most prominent superstars in the NBA, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, will commence at 8:00 pm ET and can be viewed online through live stream via the link provided below (free for subscribers).
For LeBron and his fans, this will be a season opener unlike any other. It will be the first time since James will wear a Cavaliers uniform after bolting to South Beach four summers ago to team up with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh and form the formidable "Big Three" that went on to win back-to-back championships with the Miami Heat. And when he takes the court wearing a No.23 Cavs jersey, an entire city will be able to wipe away a bitter and painful past and replenish it with excitement and thrill about the future.
"When I left Cleveland, I was on a mission. I was seeking championships, and we won two. But Miami already knew that feeling. Our city hasn't had that feeling in a long, long, long time. My goal is still to win as many titles as possible, no question. But what's most important for me is bringing one trophy back to Northeast Ohio," said James to Sports Illustrated in an interview three months ago.
The Knicks meanwhile, are eager to spoil 'King James' triumphant return to 'The Buckeye State,' led by new head coach Derrick Fisher. The team will also look to employ Phil Jackson's triangle offense which has shown no promising results so far.
