Rob Kardashian Battles Weight Gain Issues and Depression, Kris Jenner Defends Son Saying “Everybody went through it”

Drama is a regular part of the lives of the Kardashian family members and Rob is definitely one to speak for this. Amidst the regular cat fights and issues rocking the lives of the clan, the 27-year-old Kardashian son faces issues about his weight gain over the past few years.

The reality star has had a rought time during recent years and it is obvious that his physique suffered greatly for it. A source dished to Fashion and Style that the reality star "hates being big, but he gained all that weight from being depressed. He wants to lose over 50 pounds."

Rob last made headlines after he ditched Kim's wedding to Kanye but now he is stirring news again after his "momager" Kris Jenner broke down during an episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." During the episode, the 58-year-old blurted out, "I want to fix Rob, and sometimes you just can't."

Despite this, the Kardashian's family matriarch defended his son and his current physical state. In an interview with E!Online, the 58-year-old E! star admitted that all of her children went through the awkward chubby stage.

"Everybody went through it. They had braces, they were awkward. Rob was chubby and that's when kids need you the most."

She continued saying that with them being such a close family, they were always there to encourage one another. Apparently, this is something Khloe Kardashian perfectly shows towards her brother as she joins him during his physical training. In an interview with the brother and sister's fitness trainer, Gunnar Peterson described the reality stars' incredible work ethic when it comes to achieving their fitness goals.

"Rob's a grinder, he's getting it done. He's one of those guys who is always going to keep at it. He'll get to where he needs to be and everybody has their path."

Earlier in the year, Rob claimed that he was a father only to retract his claims later on. According to Classicalite, the reality star intentionally cooked up the news to keep the media from talking about more pressing issues involving him-specifically his weight gain and alleged drug use.

TMZ (via Classicalite) cleared the issue once and for all saying, "Rob Kardashian is NOT a daddy... he's intentionally punked the media...watching the lies spiral out of control online... there is no baby mama and no baby... It's an interesting strategy... Rob's been taking heat for his weight and substance abuse. Not a bad diversionary tactic."
