It's that time of the year again when angels land on earth via the Victoria's Secret annual fashion show. This year,the number one lingerie brand promises new things to its spectators-from the location of show, the roster of models, to the main pieces to be featured in the show.
For the first time ever, VS is flying its girls to London for the fashion spectacle slated to happen in December. Veteran angel Alessandra Ambrosio talks about her excitement on this show's twist saying, "I'm excited to go to London and experience the people there and the different energy that they'll give us when we're walking." She adds, "It's going to be like an Angel school field trip!"
But that is not the only twist of this year's fashion run. After putting a $10 million bra on Candice Swanepoel last year, the top lingerie brand is intent on besting its own record by featuring two "Fantasy Bra's" this year!
People.com reported that top Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima will grace the catwalk wearing the show's main acts. This year, the two Brazilian beauties will be donning an incredulous pair of mirror-image sapphire and ruby diamond sets. The blue and red stunners by Pascal Mouawad took more than 1,380 hours to finish and costs $2 million apiece with 16,000 perfect gems and 18-karat-gold-strung jeweled body pieces.
In other news, talk has been going around about the possible new faces who will grace the show's runway. Two of the top names are 22-year-old Suki Waterhouse and reality star turned top model , Kendall Jenner.
The Huffington Post (via In Touch) reported that 18-year-old Jenner is being eyed to join the roster of Angels on this year's show. According to a source, "They [Victoria's Secret] saw all the buzz she got from walking in New York Fashion week. They'd love to lock in a contract with her."
Kendall was one of the biggest attractions of the fashion month after she appeared for brands like Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, and Givenchy. She has also recently worked with Victoria's Secret veteran photographer Russell James for his book "Angels" which feature supermodels Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge, and Alessandra Ambrosio, all of whom are included in the lingerie's main model lineup.
As for Suki, Bradley Cooper's amour started attracting rumors after she posted a selfie of her wearing an outfit that is overly similar to the brand's signature over the top styling (via The Independent). She didn't divulge any details about her outfit and simply tagged it as "Top of the Pcocks".
The 5"11 beauty is currently one of the modeling world's hottest names after leading campaigns for Forever 21, Sass and Bride, and walking the runways for Topshop Unique and Burberry.
