Marc Anthony is set to make a trip to the aisle again, this time with a new, younger bride.
A source told Us Weekly that the singer is now engaged to his model-stunner of a girlfriend, Shannon de Lima. The source said that Anthony had proposed to de Lima back in March this year and is set to get married in the Dominican Republic in mid-November.
Anthony's marriage to de Lima will also add another child to the singer's brood. De Lima has a 7 year-old son named Daniel from a previous relationship, the magazine reported.
On Thursday, Jennifer Lopez, whom Anthony had been married to for seven years before finalizing their divorce this year, reacted to her former husband's impending nuptials. She told New York Daily News, "I'm happy for him. I am totally single. It's not going to be forever. Someone great will come along."
If there's one thing that JLo understands about Anthony's quick engagement is that the "On The Floor" singer is a veteran when it comes to the love department. In her new book "True Love," Lopez dishes out how her relationship with Anthony was born. She wrote in the book, "Ben and I split up at the moment when I thought we were committing to each other forever, it was my first real heartbreak, it felt like my heart had been torn out of my chest."
Ben is, of course, the Academy Award winner and actor Ben Affleck, who is happily married to Jennifer Garner. Page Six said that Affleck and Lopez were engaged in in 2003 until the "Batman vs. Superman" star broke it off a mere three days before their fairytale wedding. Affleck had moved on with Garner and had their own happily ever after with three beautiful kids.
Lopez also said in the book that if there's one thing that she's grateful for, it's how Anthony had rescued her to an otherwise deep depression after her breakup with Affleck.
"Thinking back, maybe deep down I knew that this was a Band-Aid on the cut, that my wound hadn't been stitched or healed. But I pushed all that to the back of my mind. Because life takes unpredictable twists and turns, right? And you've just got to go with what you feel is best in the moment," she said.
