Game director, Hideo Kojima, confirms that "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" will feature plenty of Easter eggs like in the previous games of the "Metal Gear Solid" series in the latest episode of Kojima Station on YouTube.
During the show Kojima and the interviewer, Kobayashi were reading comments from one of the viewers where he asked if the game would have Easter eggs like in "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater". The viewer was fighting the legendary sniper boss "The End" but couldn't do it and decided to come back a week later but found out the boss died waiting for the player.
Kojima responded to this by stating the there will be similar things like that in the upcoming "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain". In fact, he said that there will be tons of other Easter eggs but sadly did not divulge into specifics.
Fans will just have to discover it by themselves by doing it the old fashion way by playing the game when it is finally released. But it will be a harder task since this is the first game of the "Metal Gear Solid" franchise to feature open-world with massive locations and levels.
Speaking of releases, the game's release date for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One, and PC has yet to be announced by Konami or Kojima himself.
But for PC users out there, there is some good news, as Konami has recently announced the release date of the Steam version of "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes" on their official website. It says that it will be released on December 18, 2014.
In the announcement, Konami also confirmed that the Steam/PC version of the game will have better features compared to the console versions, namely increased shadow resolutions, number of models/items that can be displayed on screen, number of simultaneous light sources, and not to mention the game will be compatible with 4K resolutions as well.
As for the main game, "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain", rumors and speculations have been pointing out that it will be released sometime in Q1 of next year, specifically sometime at the end of March 2015.
