"Bachelor in Paradise" Update: Cody and Michelle are... Surprisingly Sane? Michelle Lands Sweet Acting Gig, Cody Eats Family Dinner With Her Parents

By

How was "Bachelor in Paradise" so successful? Basically every season of either "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette" has ended in disaster- sure, an engagement, but then usually a month or two of prolongued drama and then the breakup (it's already happened to Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell, and we're counting down the days when Andi/Josh is finally over with).

Yet "Bachelor in Paradise" gave us two happy, non-crazy couples. TWO! No idea how that happened.

But of the two couples we've got from "Bachelor in Paradise"- Michelle Money and Cody Sattler, and Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd, it's the former that's being extra great right now (although Lacy and Marcus are still as engaged as ever).

According to Fashion & Style, Michelle and Cody are moving ever closer to that assumed engagement- most recently, Cody spent time with Michelle's parents, without her even there!

Fashion & Style had an Instagram post from Cody that explained the family dinner goings-on.

"Michelle's mom cooked up some bombdiggity 'Hawaiian Haystacks' tonight....Pretty much rice and chicken with a bunch on delicious topping with a side of squash! Followed by these damn cookies that were amazing!" Sattler declared to the world. "Only thing missing was my babes @michellemoney. Great way to end the week with good company and good food! I am looking forward to some great workouts this week and having Michelle and Breezy (Michelle's daughter Brielle) back around the house! Hope you all had a great weekend!"

Cody shared food pics of Michelle's moms' family dinner on Instagram (seen above).

But while he was enjoying those bombdiggity Hawaiian Haystacks and damn cookies, Money was busy shooting the independent film "Inhumane" (at least, that's where we assume she was). Enstars reports that the reailty star landed the lead role in the independent psychological thriller, which is a big step up from the usual reality show stuff.

We said it before, and we'll say it again- what is it with "Bachelor in Paradise" that gives us normal, sane couples? Bizarre.

Check back soon for the latest on "Bachelor in Paradise," Cody and Michelle.
