Eminem's new compilation album "Shady XV" will contain an earlier demo version of the rapper's hit single 'Lose Yourself' when it hits record stores on November 24.
In a 30-second clip posted on Youtube last Tuesday, the rapper - whose real name is Marshall Mathers III - shares discovering a different version of his Grammy-nominated song.
"There was another version of that song that I don't even remember recording," he says of the track, which won an Oscar for Best Original Song in 2002. "I don't remember where I was at when I recorded it. I don't remember any of the first verse. I don't remember."
The short video is a follow-up on a teaser release from Eminem's mini documentary "Beat by Beat," produced by Beats by Dre in promotion of "Shady XV." According to Stashed, fans will hear the full version of the talked-about "Lose Yourself" demo as part of the highly anticipated two-disc compilation album, which celebrates 15 years of the rapper's record label, Shady Records, which he co-founded with his manager Paul Rosenberg.
Eminem earlier released the compilation album's 27-track list, which features 10 new songs from the artist - including "Guts Over Fear," his recent collaboration with singer Sia - plus new tracks from Big Sean, Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse, and other artists. It also contains a B-side collection of hit singles produced by Shady Records in the previous years, such as 50 Cent's "In Da Club" and "My Band" by D12. The rapper also unveiled the album's cover art - a "Friday The 13th"-inspired artwork, with its double chainsaw and hockey mask - in an Instagram video post last month.
Acording to Fuse, Eminem has been alluding to the album's impending release months before, including wearing a "Shady XV" shirt during the final date of his Monster tour in the US last August, which he co-headlined with singer Rihanna.
"Shady XV" is already available for pre-order on iTunes.
