Fans are eager to know if the "Transformers" film series is still on going after its fourth installment. There is still no news about its details however; Paramount confirmed that a sequel is confirmed to be released. Christian Post reported that the studio's Senior Vice President Edward Ryan made a statement about it and it will specifically be on June of 2015.
On the other hand, Michael Bay and Mark Wahlberg are no longer going to be a part of it. And since a fifth installment has been promised, there are now rumors circling about its possible storyline. According to Comic Central City's Facebook page, it is looking like the Autobots will grow in number because they will be adding new mechanoids and they are Ultra Magnus, Red Alert and Override.
The character of Ultra Magnus will be related to the villain Galvatron, who was seen back in the movie's last sequel, "Transformers: Age of Extinction." Meanwhile, the Deception camp is rumored to have new members as well namely Cyclonus, Scourge and Blitzwing.
Meanwhile, Latinos Post said the new sequel is focused on the Preducons and not the Autobots and the Decepticons. They also said that Ehrn Kruger is the one who will pen on the script of the 5th installment. Kruger said during an interview with the Collider, that the creative process is often changing and it depends on the screenwriter's pitch on the story. He also noted, "I have a Transformers 5 in my head. Whether that will be what Transformers 5 is or I will work on it, who knows at this point?"
So far, these are all the things that can be assumed from the new sequel. There is still no confirmation about anything final about it but at least one thing is sure and that it is still happening.
