Android L 5.0 Lollipop Latest News: Nvidia Shield to Experience First Release, Samsung and Other Brands on January 2015

Android users would be happy to know that a new update has been made on November 18 for their OS. The new Android L 5.0 Lollipop update will first be experienced by Nvidia Shield users.

The company released a statement on their blog site saying, "NVIDIA engineers are bringing the new Android 5.0 Lollipop to SHIELD on Nov. 18. That'll make it one of the first tablets with Lollipop, and it will feature a new 'material design' interface and improved app performance."

They went on saying, "Also included in the update: SHIELD tablet's preloaded Dabbler app. Besides a new interface inspired by Lollipop's material design language, our painting software will offer full support for layers, and users can now share live Dabbler sessions over Twitch."

Latinos Post reported that The Shield tablet will have the game "Half-Life 2: Episode One" and the new GRID on-demand gaming service. Users could expect a 192-core Tegra K1 chip included in the gadget. Its relevance is to make download and upload of files even faster.

Other gadgets would be able to experience the update on January 2015 and this includes the Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S4, and Samsung Galaxy Note 3. This information was confirmed by IB Times and they also said the company Samsung might include their Galaxy Note 4 to also have the updated OS.

But it won't just be Samsung phone and tablet users who would benefit on the update. According to Gospel Herald, owners of HTC M8, HTC M7, LG G3 and even Sony Xperia would also be updated to the new 5.0 Lollipop.

Android wasn't specific at first as to what specific gadgets are they releasing it to but now they gave out some details. The tech giant is a bit slow when it comes to this update and distribution that old Android phones are possible not to even be updated at all.
