“Insurgent” News: More Action than the First Installment, Exciting New Trailer, and Official Release Date

By

Fans of the "Divergent" movie franchise would be glad to know that its sequel "Insurgent" is coming out in theaters on March 20, 2015. The studio has also released its first movie trailer last Wednesday, November 12.

Christian Post wrote the trailer gave some surreal scenes like building shattered into pieces and it also shows a house that floats in the air. In the trailer, fans would see Tris (Shailene Woodley) attempts to rescue her mother Natalie Prior (Ashley Judd) from a scary floating house that is about to be destroyed alongside buildings that are slowly shattering. It was a heart-pounding scene that leaves the audience bewildered on what exactly it would be about.

Woodley has come a long way from playing this sweet innocent girl yet strong, Amy Juergens on TV's "The Secret Life of the American Teenager." That show was aired for 7 years and she sure had some of her acting skills developed from there. On that note, her role on that show is completely the opposite of her character in "The Divergent Series: Insurgent."

According to Christian Times, "Insurgent" will have more dangerous stunts and knee-shaking scenes. Tris will face more risky situations this time and the studio even named the trailer "Defy Reality." The studio did a good job in releasing their trailer, as this just got the crowd even more hyped up. Tris is also seen here with some superhuman abilities, which made the whole thing even more intriguing.

The Source also published that "Insurgent" will be filled with more suspense and action than the first one. Tris and Four (Theo James) will be exiled and hunted by Jeanie (Kate Winslet). The story will focus on the secrets of their family and their battles in dealing with their past.

"Insurgent" will be in cinemas come spring and is directed by Robert Schwentke.
