GD x Taeyang's "Good Boy" was recently revealed to be originally for Big Bang.
On November 25, G-Dragon and Taeyang were interviewed in Hongdae as part of their promotions for the newly released single of the new unit by YG Entertainment. During the interview, G-Dragon revealed that "Good Boy" was initially meant to be for Big bang, YG United reports.
The group's leader said, "It is mostly us two working on the songs of Big Bang. We were making one like a demo CD, and at the time T.O.P was involved in a movie. Daesung was in Japan and Seungri was also involved in other things, so us two were working on it."
G-Dragon went on saying, "When Mr. YANG heard the song, he suggested we should do it, just the two of us. We joined YG since we were 13, and we featured in each other's songs but being in a unit is a first. We thought it would be fun, so we light-heartedly accepted it."
That was how the collaboration between the two started and became part of the two hip hop projects of the record label.
According to Enews, when Taeyang was asked what made him work on a project with G-Dragon, he said, "G-Dragon and I didn't come up with the project after deciding to go for unit activities. My album was released this year and G-Dragon took significant participation in my album. There were many songs that we worked on together, and as we worked on a couple of Big Bang's songs, we began focusing on the music we like and want to do these days. Since G-Dragon and I spent a lot of time together in the recording studio, the song was produced naturally."
Meanwhile, one of the members of the press mentioned about the photos revealed by media last month showing G-Dragon and Japanese model Kiko Mizuhara together, Koreaboo reports. When asked about his relationship with the model, GD has this to say, "I have nothing to say." The Big Bang member wittingly added that he will just send a message about it to the interviewer.
Moreover, G-Dragon hinted that the much awaited comeback and new album release of Big Bang will happen next year. GD x Taeyang, meanwhile, will have their stage debut in the upcoming 2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards in Hong Kong on December 3.
