Following the release of its first hip-hop project GD x Taeyang, which is a collaboration of two Big Bang members G-Dragon and Taeyang, YG Entertainment has finally released their last "Who's Next" teaser for its second hip-hop project.
The last teaser revealed that record producer and rapper Dok2 is the third and final member of the project, joining the previously revealed YG artists, Masta Wu and iKON's Bobby.
Dok2 is a producer for Illionaire Records. He founded the label together with fellow rapper The Quiett. Dok2, 24, is among the youngest artists to make his name as rapper and producer.
Soompi noted that this isn't the first time Dok2 will be working with Bobby, who is a member of the yet-to-debut group, iKON. Dok2 was a judge in the third season of the rap competition show, "Show Me the Money", where he was teamed with then contestant Bobby, who eventually won the competition.
According to KpopStars, Dok2 has written and produced music for some of the most well-known hip-hop artists including Drunken Tiger, Dynamic Duo, and Epik High. The website pointed out that while the rapper is not an official artist under YG Entertainment, he has long-standing ties with not just Epik High, but also with Big Bang's G-Dragon for his 2012 track, "Light It Up" along with Tablo.
Meanwhile, veteran rapper and YG artist Masta Wu, was revealed to be part of the project on November 27. KpopStars noted the rap artist signed with the record label back in 2003 after debuting in the Korean underground hip-hop scene as Ginnwon in 2000.
In other news, the release of GD x Taeyang's "Good Boy" was a success. Shortly after its release on November 21, the track topped major local music charts. At one point, it even became one of the top trending topics in Twitter.
As of November 29, barely a week after its release, the music video already has 8.58 million views on YouTube.
Meanwhile, the collaboration of iKON's Bobby, Masta Wu and Dok2 will be released at midnight KST on December 2.
