'The Flash' Crossover Spoilers: 'Arrow' set to get more metahumans? 'Supergirl' debut could possibly happen [Rumors]

It looks like "Arrow" is the perfect show to be to successfully introduce superheroes in television.

When The CW confirmed that a special "The Flash"-"Arrow" crossover would be happening, it was inevitable considering that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) was first introduced in the latter. On the other hand, Comicbook.com said that "Arrow" Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim shut down suggestions several times this year that the show would be introducing more metahumans like Allen, hinting that it might overshadow the show's main character, played by Stephen Amell. The crossover special will be aired on December

But in his latest interview with CBR, Guggenheim appeared to have a change of heart and said, "What's fun about episode 8 for Arrow is it proved to me, as a writer and a producer, hey, you know what? You can do metahumans on Arrow without feeling like the show is changing its tone too much. It's something that we all sort of collectively realized -- hey, the show can handle that. So that's kind of cool. I might have to amend my earlier comment from the beginning of the year, just because this kind of works."

Earlier, Robbie Amell, who plays Firestorm/Ronnie Raymond in "The Flash," was quoted by Screenrant about his screentime with his cousin Stephen. He said, "We will both be in the same episode of The Flash coming up, but I have not crossed over to Arrow yet. I would really like to, and I have a pretty good relationship with Greg Berlanti, so I'm trying to push that on him. We'll see what happens."

On the other hand, the debuts of characters Firestorm as well as Ray Palmer had some DC Comics fans speculating whether "Supergirl" will also make an appearance in the crossover. Christian Post noted that Greg Berlanti, who is behind the "Supergirl" project, is a producer on both "Arrow" and "The Flash." However, Christian Post said that just like what Guggenheim said, it would take a lot of production time and ideas to come up with a seamless script to introduce "Supergirl" to the crossover.
