According to Mac World, news is circulating around regarding the release of MacBook Air Retina this Holiday Season. They have reported that Boy Genius Report made an article last August stating that there is a possibility of a release of the said MacBook this Christmas. However, due to the news being rehashed and misinterpreted over the months, the genuine article of BGR was lost in translation. Mac World stated that the article of BGR merely provides an opinion on when will be the next reasonable date for MacBook Air to be released and not the exact release date of the product. As of now, Mac World is convinced that the MacBook Air Retina won't be released until 2015.
MacBook Air Retina was reported to include a wider 12-inch model which will replace its previous 11-inch version. It will offer a slightly bigger screen to its users and it may also have a 13-inch model. Latino Post also reported that the soon to be released Retina MacBook Air will be the best MacBook in the market due to its compact design, extended battery life and high-resolution display.
Apple, being highly competitive in pushing the boundaries of technology, was speculated by International Business Times that it will use Intel's Core M chip for its MacBook Air Retina. They also reported that the soon to be released MacBook will have the Touch ID feature used in Apple's newly released iPhones.
Intel's Core M chip only consumes 4.5 watts which saves a lot of battery life and improves its overall performance. As such it is the natural choice for Apple to use Core M in its MacBook Air, according to Tapscape. Furthermore, they have reported that its 12-inch retina version is expected to be revealed in time of the Worldwide Developers Conference of Apple in June 2015.
Stay tuned to our news updates for the latest development in this the release of MacBook Air Retina.
