Fans recently noticed that in VIXX's Ravi short freestyle titled "Diss Hater," the idol seemed to be calling out iKON's Bobby.
According to allkpop, while there have speculations of a subtle diss battle between yet-to-debut Bobby and BTS' Rap Monster, there might be other issues involving other K-pop rapper idols. Ravi's new track was seen as a response to Bobby's lyrics that were previously speculated to be about VIXX.
In previous reports, a part of Bobby's "YGGR" lyrics read, "You guys have a long way to go. Boy group rappers come on stage with a clock dance. If you're tone deaf, go practice." Fans were quick to assume that the rapper was referring to VIXX mainly because of the group's "clock" choreography for "Eternity."
Ravi's "Diss Hater" started out with the words, "Yeah, this song for Bobby. It's not a diss." The succeeding part of the freestyle rap goes to respond to Bobby's lyrics that tell about boy group rappers, the "clock dance," and the "tone deaf" part.
Allkpop posted the translated lyrics, which reads as follows
"That's right I'm an idol
But you're also a f*ckin' idol
Others think it's the same, but this diss battle pretending to be different
You want to lash out because it's disgusting, right?
I admit that I'm the rapper of the boygroup with the clock dance
But I'm not tone deaf, you little boy
I left my house and hustle every night too
Yeah I'm envious, holding the 'Show Me' trophy at 20 years old
And a career chewing up melons
All of that still pre-debut
You say it like a habit, just hate on Bobby
But I don't give a f*ck
I don't want to fight you
We're all the same, you, me, him, her, all idols
Is it real if you're good at rap and doodle with your pen
That's no no
We're different u know
Yeah it's easy to kill hip hop
But we're not the culprits, what I mean sh*t."
According to KpopStars, Ravi shared the track on his Twitter account on December 9.
Bobby's controversial rap performed at the recently concluded Mnet Asian Music Awards 2014 also hinted at other idol groups Boyfriend and BTS being substandard K-pop groups.
