While the female idol group 2NE1 previously announced their absence in some of this year's music award events, fans still have the chance to see them as the group continues with their fan meeting in Japan.
An alleged scheduled of the 2NE1's series of fan meeting surfaced previously. It claims the group will be visiting Tokyo's Zepp Divercity, Osaka's Dojima River Forum, Fukuoka's Scalar Espacio, and Aichi's Zepp Nagoya on December 12, 13 & 14, 19, and 20, respectively.
As KpopStars noted, photos and videos taken during the Tokyo and Osaka fan meets confirm that the alleged schedule is indeed true.
Other than photos and videos taken by fans, CL, Dara, and Minzy also actively update their SNS accounts with posts on their exclusive fan meeting in Japan, Koreaboo reports.
In a video from WeLoveBom.com, Park Bom was interviewed during the fan meeting. "Because of the fan meetings, I decided to study Japanese with the utmost effort," she said. "I studied but...I don't understand [Japanese]. Because I'm stupid."
Bom was recently involved in a drug scandal earlier this year, causing her to leave SBS reality show "Roommate."
Allkpop reported that a rep from 2NE1's record label YG Entertainment announced the group will not be taking part in year ender music award shows. "Though they've received a number of offers for music award ceremonies, we respectfully declined," said the rep
"Park Bom is still reflecting, so we ask for your understanding. 2NE1 cannot put on a show without Park Bom. However, besides that, Park Bom is not participating in any other domestic schedules. She is currently taking time to self-reflect. Please support them until they make their comeback. They will make a good album and come back as 2NE1."
Meanwhile, it was reported earlier that 2NE1 might attend "SBS Gayo Daejun" on December 21 without Park Bom. On December 10, broadcast affiliates announced that the group is expected to grace the upcoming awards event. Staff of the award show also told Newsen that they were currently in talks about 2NE1's attendance, Enews reports.
