Actor Robert Downey, Jr. reportedly admitted to the existence of Iron Man 4's production and a plan for subsequent release, according to an article in The Fashion Times. But, the same publication at some point has reported via E! News Downey, Jr. took his word back when he made a guest appearance in "The Late Show with David Letterman" last October 7th.
The actor reportedly told Letterman, "There's no plans for an Iron Man 4," adding, "[It's a] valid question [why not]. Like, it hasn't made enough money or something? Yeah, I guess they have too much money, or something."
"There's no script for Iron Man 4," he says.
"They do have a plan and I think they're gonna announce it. You know, they're very secretive about it. Marvel..."
"There will be other stuff... just between us, no [more Iron Man]. But I'm gonna do other stuff with Marvel. I'm still going to be involved with Marvel and there's gonna be plenty of fun stuff to happen."
The Epoch Times quoted the actor denying the alleged sequel for the mega-blockbuster movie, too.
However, there are some reports that suggest that he -- Robert Downey Jr. -- will still be the world's known iron superhero and that he revealed it live on air at 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'.
Only time will tell, if indeed a sequel is in the works for Iron Man. Meanwhile, Robert Downey, Jr. is currently busy promoting another Marvel movie, "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
Some fans and spectators are speculating that Avengers is a sign of a possible Iron Man sequel release. Downey and the cast members of the previous series is keeping mum about the issue.
Whether or not the Avengers precedes something good going for Iron Man 4, let's just keep our fingers crossed for the best movie franchise to hit the nearest theaters-soon!
