Though the couple has only been dating for six months, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello of "True Blood" got engaged on Christmas Eve while vacationing in Hawaii together with some family. Vergara's former fiancé Nick Loeb seems to have only good things to say to the couple.
Vergara and Manganiello have only been dating for six months, but Us Magazine says Manganiello has already popped the question which vacationing in Hawaii. The couple is supported even by Loeb, who tells Us Magazine that Vergara "deserves happiness, the kind that only true love can bring."
Evidence of Vergara's engagement comes in the form of "a large diamond rock on her wedding finger that looked like an engagement ring," Daily Mail describes. Vergara and Manganiello had been in Hawaii for Christmas and Manganiello's birthday celebration on Sunday. Vergara was photographed with the ring on Wednesday.
Daily Mail clarifies, "Though the actress sometimes wears a diamond ring to promote her jewelry line - So Sofia for Kay Jewelers-this one looked different." Furthermore, the website describes the ring to have a large, rectangular center rock "surrounded by smaller diamonds."
Us Today further reveals, "Fast-forward to Christmas day and Manganiello was popping the question to Vergara, who, along with their families, were in Hawaii celebrating the holiday and Manganiello's 38th birthday." A source told the magazine that Manganiello "wanted to do it in front of her family."
According to earlier reports, Vergara and Manganiello got engaged on Christmas, but Glamour notes that Vergara has been photographed in what is assumed to be her wedding ring earlier, on Christmas Eve.
However, Vergara's rep was not around to confirm the rumors despite USA Today's calls.
Previously, Vergara was engaged with Florida millionaire Loeb, USA Today shares. Loeb and Vergara's relationship ended because Loeb apparently wanted kids and Vergara did not. Daily Mail says that Vergara and Loeb's engagement ended in May.
Should Vergara and Manganiello move from engagement to marriage, this will not be Vergara's first marriage, as Daily Mail reports her having been married to Joe Gonzales from 1991 to 1993. Vergara also has one son, Manolo, who is now 21.
