'Terminator Genisys' is definitely one of the films to watch this year. Featuring the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger the movie's new take on the classic T-800 design, this year's Terminator franchise is going to excite its fans once again.
Schwarzenegger fans should also watch for the 'Game of Thrones' Emilia Clark as Sarah Conner as the two set for another adventure with the franchise's alternate timeline. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) will be set back in time to protect Sarah and stop Skynet and the rest of his robotic minions from taking over the world. Reese finds her, but he also finds Ahnold's aging Terminator -- called "Pops" -- who's acting as Sarah's guardian, and the dynamic duo are all ready to duke it out against Skynet, wrote Blastr.
Here's a synopsis of the film by Dread Central:
"The beginning of Terminator: Genisys, the first of three planned films that Paramount hopes will relaunch the beloved sci-fi franchise, is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Divergent's Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post-apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor's mother, Sarah ("Game of Thrones"' Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won't ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected."
Director Alan Taylor says: "For this one, we tried to couch the threat of the machine in things that we're more a part of and afraid of."
Other members of the cast will be Jason Clarke as John Conner, and Matt Smith as John Conner's ally. Byung-hun Lee, Aaron V. Williamson, Dayo Okeniyi, and J.K. Simmons also star.
The film is slated to be released for the big screen this 1st of July, 2015, via Paramount Pictures.
