Bethenny Frankel, star of "The Real Housewives of New York City," is more than used to being called out about her weight. And as the owner of a brand called Skinnygirl, she owns her weight pretty well- she may be a very thin lady, but she's not afraid to defend herself in public.
And that's just what's happening now. E! Online reports that after a series of photos showing Frankel on a beach vacation with her boyfriend, people online began to comment that she was too thin. In the pics, Frankel is in a bikini, showing plenty of skin.
According to E! Online, the comments were calling her "unhealthy," and "too skinny," but now Frankel's shot back. While on the "Meredith Viera Show," Frankel responded to those who think she needs to bulk up and start eating a few more sandwiches.
"Well, I was sick over the holidays," Frankel said to Viera. "I don't know, do I look bad? Do I look like I need to eat a burger?"
Later, the reality star added, "I don't know. I feel like, 'Who cares?' They are always going to say something. I do have a brand called Skinnygirl, so I am going to get beaten up for it. It would be bad if I were overweight and had a brand called Skinnygirl, could you imagine?"
And now she's even joking about it. After the "Meredith Viera Show's" official Twitter gave a shout-out to Frankel after her appearence, Frankel shouted back. And included another swipe about the "too skinny" accusations.
"I may be too thin but @MeredithShow you're too awesome! Xo."
This also isn't the first time people have assumed Frankel was unhealthy just because she was thin. As far back as 2011, Internet commenters were trying to figure out if Frankel was healthy or starving herself, despite having only a picture or two to go on- RealityTea reporting about all kinds of accusations she faced years ago.
These kinds of accusations will probably continue. But at least Frankel's got the sense of humor to keep rolling with the proverbial punches. Check back soon for the latest news on Frankel, her photo issues and her thinness.
