Rumors began to swirl online when the reported website for Bill Beckman's castings claimed to be in-charge of the casting for the upcoming movie initiated a casting call for male and female extras aging 18 to 65 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Sony Pictures remains mum and neither denies or confirms if this latest controversy surrounding the release of Amazing Spiderman 3 is even closer to the truth. As everyone is aware of, movie fanatics would likely see the third installment of the franchise is in three years' time.
As previously reported, Marvel Studio and Sony Pictures were in the talks and either of the two has not announced development of any kind. According to Blastr, Marvel could do a lot better than Sony with Spiderman being known to play an integral role in comic version of Avengers and making a cameo on the lined-up Marvel films can do wonders in the box office.
Other than the purported casting call, there are also some blurry details on the storyline for Amazing Spider 3 release that had gone public at recent. Both Andrew Garfield and Dane DeHaan are said to reprise their roles as Peter Parker/Spiderman and Harry Osborne/Green Goblin, respectively. In addition, the masked avenger will be seen to tackle new facets of challenge as defender of the city of New York.
Breathecast noted that many spectators have expressed skepticism on Sony's decision to pursue its plans to make a third considering poor reviews and lesser box office turn-out for Amazing Spiderman 2. A lot of fans were not pleased when Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy character was killed which could greatly impact the film's success on future sequels.
The Amazing Spiderman 3's initial release date is expected sometime in 2018.
