Pre-72nd Golden Globe Award, the 'Jane The Virgin's production probably still waiting for CW's go signal. But as the saying goes "when it rains, it pours" Gina Rodriguez's best actress trophy nailed it for show's Season 2 and new found popularity.

Since the beginning, the ratings of Jane's first season considered an average making it a candidate for cancellation. It debuted on October 13, 2014 with a 0.6 key demo rating for 18-to-49 year-old audience share and went down to 0.4 rating in its mid season. But when the heroine, 23-year old Jane Glorania Villanueva finally captured the interest of viewers and critics with her hilarious surprised pregnancy due to mistaken artificial insemination, the show slowly picked up. It got a 0.6 key demo rating and averaged 1.27 million viewers for its final episode, reportedly.

Rodriguez delivered a touching acceptance speech for winning Golden Globe Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy. At the stage of Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, the 30-year old actress cited a Latina's dream.
