A New NASCAR game is under development by a new company. DMi Games took the reins in developing the game and the company President announced their plans for a 2016 release.

Gamespot reported that DMi Games, a North Carolina game company, acquired license to develop and publish the NASCAR game series from Eutechnyx. Since January 1 this year, DMi was able to secure the rights over the game series but the transfer was complicated due to the complex license agreements.

According to the report, DMi Games President Ed Martin explained that there are a lot of "stakeholders and people to get organized" in the transfer considering that "a contemporary NASCAR video game has more than 1,000 licensed and approved properties in it." In DMi's Open Letter, Ed Martin explained that "DMi has a long-term license with NASCAR to develop & publish a wide range of games across pretty much any interactive entertainment platform you can imagine - including console, PC and mobile." He also said that their primary concern right now is the release of quality games for all NASCAR fans. They also wanted to develop different types of games which will cater them all fans of NASCAR.

Ed Martin also stated that "We are already hard at work on several new games including an all-new NASCAR racing sim created by DMi for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC that we expect to release in 2016. Stay tuned for further information on that and other DMi games coming your way!?
