Scandal Season 4 will return this January 29. Kerry Washington, who plays Olivia Pope, was kidnapped in the mid-season finale in an apparent blackmail attempt to force President Fitz to go to war with West Angola. With Rowan, Olivia's Dad, still at large, Olivia's disappearance adds more predicament to the already chaotic scenario. But the pressure to rescue her, falls into former B613 Jake Ballart and President Fitz' loving hands.
It looks Olivia wouldnt be seeing the sun or even the white house for that matter, after being snatched away behind Jake's back. The rest of the season is expected to be focused on finding her.
Olivia made it clear with Jake (Scott Foley) that she wants both him and Fitz, but Jake still decided to stay with her. However, the seemingly perfect night turned into disaster when Olivia was kidnapped just behind his back. Later on in the episode it was revelaed that Fitz's rival and Vice President Andrew Nichols, played by Jon Tenney, is the mastermind behind Olivia's disappreance. The big question is, will Fitz fall for this trap?
There are a lot of speculations that the rest of season 4 will be focused on the search of the missing Olivia Pope played by Kerry Washington. With Olivia's Dad, played by Joe Morton, still on the loose and a thread to Olivia, even Kerry Washington admits, her characters "is in potentially great danger" according to Entertainment Weekly.
The effective cliffhanger left everyone wondering where in the world is Olivia Pope? But despite her disapperance, fans are confident Olivia wont be killed. According to the Latin Post, fans dont anticipate the death of Olivia, we all know the show wouldnt survived without her, that's why the rest of the season is expected be focusd on the search for Olivia; Presidents Fitz dilemma and Jake's contribution to finding her.
To add to that, viewers are also anticipating the return of Rowan and he's going to add chaos to the scene after being threatened to be shot by his own daughter.
Looks like her lovers and her gladiators would need to work hard to get her back.
The rest of the gang, unaware yet of Olivia's predicament presents a conflict of their own. From the Quinn-Chuck-Chuck's wife and kid dilemma, and to the Quinn-Charlie recurring flare for each other, will they be able to fix their issues once they found out Olivia is gone?
According the SpoilerTV, Scandal writers had fun creating the season, that's why it will be fun for the fans as well.
Fans will sure miss Olivia's literal white hat and impeccable taste in fashion while she is still missing, it is sure though that they wouldnt miss the jaw-dropping bombs Shonda Rhimes is prepared to drop just when you least expected.
