The executive producer of the hit TV show Arrow revealed in an interview that fans will still be able to catch a glimpse of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) despite his absence. Marc Guggenheim revealed that fans won't exactly miss the character as he teases the upcoming episodes for season 3.

Guggenheim had recently spoke in an interview with TVLine, that fans of the show will "still be seeing quite a bit of Oliver". The producer was even quick to tease that the upcoming epsisodes were full of surprises. "You will certainly see him in flashbacks," he said. "In fact, Episode 10 has, I think, some of the most intense flashback action we've ever had. We've got Oliver literally ziplining between buildings, as the camera follows him through a window, and there's a huge shootout.... You're still going to get plenty of Oliver. The how and the when and the why, that's all a surprise."

Meanwhile, Team Arrow has to deal with the absence of their leader. The members of the group have taken it into their hands to save Starling City. Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) takes his plan to deal with the villains of the city. However, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) is convinced that the plan is a suicide mission. It is hinted in the spoilers that a possible romance will develop between the pair.

It was also reported that a new villain will be introduced. Danny "Brick" Brickwell (Vinnie Jones) will make his appearance in the series. The villain wants to "take over the Glades" with the aid of an impressive roster of villains.

Reports also show that Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) is "out for blood" in the mid-season premiere.

Be sure to watch the hit The CW series on Wednesday, 21 January, at 8pm.
