Amid filing a lawsuit against an insurance company regarding the closure of his New York restaurant Destino, Justin Timberlake is taking time to greet his mother a happy 54th.
Lynn Harless, has just turned 54, and her son, Timberlake, did not let the occasion pass without sharing it with the world. Timberlake's birthday greeting for his "first partner-in-crime" was posted on Instagram on January 20 with a caption saying, "We have been through so much together and I love you more than words can begin to describe." Timberlake also says, "Everything I am and continue to strive to be is because of you."
According to Daily Mail, the caption came with a photo of a younger Timberlake and his mother enjoying a day at the beach. The caption also includes the hashtag "#UandMeVsAnybody."
Apart from being the singer's mother, Harless has also been involved with Timberlake's career. Harless was an executive producer for "Justin Timberlake: Down Home in Memphis-One Night Only." Harless is also behind the company "Just-In Time Entertainment."
Timberlake is also known to bring his mother to big events. Us Magazine mentions Harless being with Timberlake at the 2011 Academy Awards, the 2013 MTV VMAs, and other Hollywood events.
Harless' birthday celebration comes amid problems with Timberlake's restaurant, Destino.
Toronto Sun reports, "Justin Timberlake is taking legal action against the bosses of a New York insurance company, alleging they owe him and his business partners for forcing them to prematurely re-open their Italian restaurant business after a sewage mess."
Destino was opened in 2006, but needed to be closed in July 2013 because of human waste covering the place after pipes burst. Four months after Amguard Insurance Co. supposedly fixed the problem, Destino was forced to re-open. However, there was another problem with the pipes that led to a mold infestation after the freshly-stocked food area was covered in sewage.
Timberlake and his business partners filed for $275,000 in insurance claims for repair and unspecified business costs. The insurance company's denial of their request led to Timberlake suing the executives of Amguard.
Destino is closed for good, making it the second restaurant in New York for Timberlake to close after a branch of Southern Hospitality went out of business in 2012.
