Last January 21, Wednesday, Miss Universe 2014 Preliminary Competition was broadcasted online at FIU Arena, Doral, Miami. The competition showed the 88 beautiful and astonishing contestants around the globe who wowed the crowd with their stunning attire. They were introduced by Stephanie Cameron, the dance choreographer of the Miss Universe 2014.
According to Zeibiz, as initially reported, the competition will not be broadcasted through television since this will only be streamed online through the official website of the Miss Universe. However, South Florida cited that the competition will replayed and aired this Sunday, 8pm in NBC.
Judges of the preliminaries included Azucena Cierco, Corinne Nicolas, Jeneine Doucette-White, Jimmy Nguyen, Lloyd Boston, Michelle McLean, and Tyler Tixier. They will be searching for the Top 15 among the 88 candidates based from the candidates' swimsuit and evening gown attires. The results will be revealed during the coronation night this January 25.
During the entire night of the pageant, it has been both very challenging and dramatic for the 63rd Annual Miss Universe candidates.
As observed in the first part of the introduction, loud cheers to particular candidates were already been heard from the audience. Thus, the crowd already noticed and applaused their favorites.
Among the crowd pleasers as detailed were Miss USA, Philippines, Brazil, Venezuela, Italy, Thailand, Puerto Rico, and Spain. They are judged based from the continued screams and shouts from the audience.
Tidbits from the contestants was known during the competition, such as Miss Japan Keiko Tsuji considers herself as a heartbreak and loves Christina Aguilera; Miss Malaysia Sabrina Beneett is a farm girl and enjoys taking care of cows and goats; Miss Kazakhstan Aiday Issayeva is a future doctor; and, Miss Nicaragua Marline Barberena is the first to enter a graduate school in her family.
Meantime, Miss Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa begins to give her final blows for the competition as she flaunts her dazzling white gown with her queely pasarella. As the years have gone by, this year's toughest contender might just come from Asia. Who knows?
A lot more expectations from the community worldwide as to how the candidates will show off that they are worth the title of "Miss Universe" as observed from the level of excitement to the 88 beautiful ladies.
