"The Last: Naruto the Movie" is just a couple of weeks away from its premiere show in the big screen in U.S. Theaters. The latest anime film from the Naruto film franchise will be released in 20 major U.S. cities this February.
It was reported that Viz Media will team up with Eleven Art Inc. to bring the blockbuster film to U.S. theaters. The two company has already collaborated before in the "Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie" and fans can expect that they will be able to deliver a good show with the latest Naruto film.
Naruto manga and its anime film franchise was well receive across the globe due to its inspirational storyline, good character development of the cast and insane action that takes place in each instalment. That is why Kishimoto Masashi, the creator of Naruto, may still have other works to do in the Naruto Franchise.
Anime News Network reported that Kishimoto Masashi will be starting a new Naruto spinoff manga mini-series in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine this coming spring. It was specified that said mini-series is slated for public release this April. However Kishimoto said that it will be hard for him to serialize a weekly manga.
The launch of the new Naruto Manga mini-series is part of the "Naruto Shin Jidai Kaimaku Project" (Naruto's New Era Opening Project) which marks the 15th anniversary of the recently concluded original Naruto manga.
The new Naruto Manga spin-off mini-series will feature several characters from the Naruto Universe. According to iDigital Times, an Amazon Japan listing shows the list of the spin-off manga which are as follows:
- Kakashi Hiden - Feb. 4
- Shikamaru Hiden - March 4
- Akatsuki Hiden - April
- Gaara Hiden - June
- Sakura Hiden - July
- Konohagakure Hiden - August
Hiden means secret legend in Japanese and these mini-spinoff manga will deal with the lives of each characters. According to the report, the accounts of Kakashi will show him as a Jounin before assuming the Hokage Position. Shikamaru's story will revolve around his life after the last war and his relationship with Temari.
"The Last: Naruto the Movie" is not the last time that fans will see Naruto. Masashi Kishimoto has a lot of plans for its future including the new Naruto Manga spin-off mini-series. Stay tuned for more updates and spoilers!
