2016 is the latest possible release date for "The Winds of Winter", based on the writing stride of its author, George R.R. Martin. Reports suggest that the latest instalment in the epic novel saga "A Song of Ice and Fire" is still in development but the author may have enough material to complete the book.
International Business Times reported that fans are getting impatient for the release of "The Winds of Winter" and they are all speculating that the earliest opportunity that the book may be released is on 2016. The report also suggest that fans will not have to wait past 2016 considering that there is a five to six years gap between the release of "A Feast for Crown" (2000), "A Storm of Swords" (2005), and "A Dance with Dragons" (2011). Thus a 2016 or, at the least, a 2017 release for "The Winds of Winter" is possible.
In related news, it's been years since the synopsis of "The Winds of Winter" was released in George R.R. Martin's official website and fans are still getting hyped by the revelations of the synopsis for the upcoming book.
The synopsis entitled "Mercy", reveals the partial accounts of Arya as she tries to survive Westeros. The synopsis also deals with the issues who were not touched in "A Dance with Dragons". There is also a report that the cliffhangers at the end of the last instalment will be resolved early in the upcoming "The Winds of Winter".
Entertainment Weekly additionally reported that the upcoming book will have more deaths, betrayals, and the most frighteningly celebrated ceremony in the book, weddings. George R.R. Martin also stated that "I think we're gonna start out with a big smash with the two enormous battles," which is presumed to be the clash between Ramsay and Stannis forces in the North. Dothraki are also coming back in a big way in the story. A lot of things will also happen at The Wall according to the report. Martin also speaks up on what will happen to Tyrion and Daenerys. The author said that "Well, Tyrion and Dany will intersect, in a way, but for much of the book they're still apart," he also added that "They both have quite large roles to play here. Tyrion has decided that he actually would like to live, for one thing, which he wasn't entirely sure of during the last book, and he's now working toward that end-if he can survive the battle that's breaking out all around him. And Dany has embraced her heritage as a Targaryen and embraced the Targaryen words. So they're both coming home."
"The Winds of Winter" may not have an official release date yet but fans can expect that George R.R. Martin will deliver a spectacular story with a lot of dark twist and macabre which is only expected in the epic novel, "A Song of Ice and Fire".
